An interesting portable iris recognition system for clinics

This seems to be a promo from the company, but it shows the system in action:

It seems small! Could be pretty portable if coupled with a laptop. Don't know how much it costs though.

I think this was the one on that youtube video?? Question is, they don't say how much the subscription and set-up fees are, and there may also be issues regarding setting up in the DR... do they have internet access?

Unfortunately most of the other iris recognition systems I've seen are 'home security' based ones, so there may be issues with those in terms of data storage. It may be possible to just have two systems in place un-linked, ie where the iris scan gives you a unique ID that you then enter into a separate database to get the patient details.
